Lesson Procedures (Steps)

Introduction

Read the picture book: Blockhead – The life of Fibonacci to the class

Body

Which one doesn’t belong


 Explain that four images relating to math will be shown on the board
 Students will decide which one they think doesn’t belong
 Have class discussion on their thoughts
o After discussion explain that they all do not belong for some reason or another
 Go through a few examples of these on the board

Introduction Activity
 Explain activity to the students with an example on the board
o They will have a flash card and draw a picture that represents themselves on one side
o On the back they will be given prompts to questions that they can answer and write
 What is your favorite thing to do for fun?
 What is something you want me to know about you?

Closure/ Reflection

When class is over they will hand in their flashcard to me so that I can read them.
