This manual describes various matters peculiar to the swamp excavator.
The operator and the maintenance personnel are requested to read this
Operation and Maintenance Manual and that of the standard machine
without fail and to fully understand the contents of these manuals before
operation, check and maintenance of this.
INTRODUCTION
1. FOREWORD
Everything to winch precaution should be by all means taken when doing the timber
collecting works has been stated in this manual. Therefore please be sure to read them

If this machine is used carelessly, it may result in serious injury or death.
The operator and maintenance man shall frequently read this book before
operating and maintaining this machine.
As a handbook, please keep this book near the machine, so that all persons
who handle the machine may read it.
• Please do not use this product until you master the explanations
herein. Please keep this book always read to your hand, and read it
repeatedly.

Almost all accidents have happened because operation, checking and maintenance of this product
have been done without observing the basic rules of safety.
Before operating, checking, and maintaining this product, please read and understand thoroughly
all prevention methods and caution stated in this book and on the product, and make mastery of it.
Before mastering it, operating, checking and maintenance of the product are absolutely not allowed.
For better understanding of the safety labels in this book and the machine, the following safety

3. INTRODUCTION

• For timber collecting work, please be sure to do the work with one
end of the log coming into contact with ground.
• Suspending the log midair is forbidden, because there is a risk
that the same log will fall down due to the increasing load of the
wire.

When using endless wire rope, please work while checking the twisting of the
wire rope because the wire rope intersects easily.
In the case of twisting, please stop the work immediately and do the repair.

CAUTION

When collecting timber downward a hill, please prevent the logs from rushing down to
the machine.
Example: the place where the machine is put is higher than the collected timber.

6. CAUTIONS DURING OPERATION
If timber collecting is done with disorder winding condition, the wire rope
may be broken, and clamp in the drum. Therefore never collect timber
when the wire rope is disorderly rolled.
If the wire rope is in a condition as shown in drawing below, it will be disorderly rolled.
Therefore please position the pulley appropriately or the working equipment at suitable
height to prevent disorder rolling.
