Purpose
To set forth a policy on the safe operation of elevated work platforms while under use for
(organisation name). This policy will address the safe operation of the mobile camera
platform in the workplace.

2. Policy

2.1 Application
(organisation name) believe that the well-being of people employed or affected by our work
is a priority and must always be considered on our half.
The safety of the public is equally treated to the safety of our employees, as people are the
most important asset, and work health and safety is, and should be, all peoples
responsibility.
The objective of this policy is to achieve safe practice when operating a mobile camera
platform in the workplace. This policy applies to authorized persons assigned to perform
recording duties as required. Authorized personnel include (name of individual/s or group/s).
This policy will provide procedures for all workers.

2.2 Designated recording locations and locations that must be avoided

2.3 (organisation name)’s responsibilities


(organisation name) is responsible for:
- Ensure authorized employees are trained in the safe operation of all elevated camera
platforms.
- Ensure authorized employees are trained in the safe operation of fall protection gear.
- Provide fall protection gear (e.g. full-body harnesses, lanyards, anchor straps, etc.) in
applicable sizes for use at home and away games.
- Periodically inspect the operator’s use of the elevated camera platforms in
accordance with this policy.
- Provide trained operators with a copy of their training certificate to be kept on them at
all times while operating on any elevated camera platform.
- Ensuring that all personnel, including visitors, are informed about the hazards
associated with recording. These hazards include:
* Falling from a height
* Large or dangerous objects falling from a height
* Mobile camera platform topples.
2.4 Mobile camera operators responsibilities
- Operators have a shared responsibility for their own, and others safety. Individuals
have the right to refuse to work in conditions they find unsafe. Concerns must be
taken to (assigned personnel) on-site. Once notified, (assigned personnel) must
further evaluate the potential existence for given hazard. If it exists, (assigned
personnel) must instruct other operators to cease operations immediately until the
hazard is removed.
- Prior to use and during use, every operator must visually inspect the camera platform
and report any maintenance issues to (assigned personnel).
- Operators shall immediately descend elevated camera platforms if the competent
person determines the operator may be exposed to a hazard.
