Notes and Safety Instructions
1. Ketone-based ink and cleaning solvents are flammable and irritable, so the ink jet printing system,
ink and cleaning solvents should be stored in well ventilated places where naked light is excluded
2. The printer works at a voltage of 230V. Never unplug the power plug before turning off the power
3. Never plug and unplug lines in the printer at random, and never point the printheads toward
yourself, others or naked light. Prevent the ink from spattering in eyes or mouth. If ink or solvents
spatter in eyes or mouth, please flush eyes or mouth with water and seek medical attention
immediately.
4. Place a suitable container in front of the printheads during cleaning. The ink collected can not be
used again and should be disposed of reasonably to ensure no fire or health harm, as it may
5. Wear goggles and gloves with protective edges when disposing of ink and solvents. Avoid
inhaling ink and solvents for a long time, and clean spattered ink and solvents timely.
6. Please don‟t pour waste liquids into sewers for the sake of environment.
7. The system should be grounded securely to ensure personal safety, and the environment of high
magnetic field and electronic noise should be excluded during operation to avoid interference to the
8. It is suggested that UPS should be used in the case of unstable power supply and sudden
9. Please purge the ink line system and ink bottle regularly to ensure normal operation of the
system.

Chapter 1 Features and Parameters
I. Features
Condor large character ink jet printing system allows manufacturers to print high quality dot-matrix
characters on a variety of products at a cost-effective price. In fact, the Condor offers the lowest
price per printed character in the industry today. Users can choose between two models: a
water-based system for printing on porous surfaces like corrugated cartons, paper or wood, or a
solvent-based system for printing on non-porous products like plastics, stretch wraps, metals, glass
or more.
2. User Flexibility
Condor users also have the option of choosing from two printhead configurations. Two print sizes
are available: 7 nozzles, 1/2"(13 mm) and 3/4" (19 mm); or 16 nozzles, 1 3/4" (45 mm) character
height. Both printheads are capable of printing both a 7 x 5 and 5 x 5 character matrix, offering print
sizes ranging from 1/2" (13 mm) to1 3/4" (45 mm) in height. All of these components are
3. User-Friendly System
Full Chinese message edit, display interface and backlight are designed for simple operation for the
Condor. Condor's state of the art input device provides quick and easy message programming and
retrieval for up to 128 messages. Resident software in the input device walks the user through a
series of prompts to program and save each message for printing on-demand. The system can send
and read various messages of the printer by connecting to PC through a standard RS-232 port with

Our patented unique electromagnetic vibration blast is characterized by stable air pressure, strong
power, low noise, low energy consumption, and high-efficiency air pump technology, ensure
water-free, oil-free and clean output air supply, and eliminate the need of lubrication and connection
to outer air supply. The air pump has passed CE certification, is characterized by solid housing,
excellent structure and reliable performance and thus eliminates the need of special maintenance. It
is proven that this patented technology can keep ink in the ink line system clean and thus ensure no
clogged problem. Therefore, Condor series ink jet printers is characterized by constant-pressure
printing and stable quality and thus keep production and maintenance costs to a minimum,
The Condor was engineered inside and out for industrial strength operation. The aluminum alloy
cabinet of IP54 ensures continuous operation in harsh, real world environments. Quick and
easy-to-install replacement printheads, PC cards and air pump modules minimize downtime and
eliminate costly service calls. Best of all, the Condor utilizes TH-SD60 no-clog ink, allowing users to
leave the ink in their printheads for an extended period of time without flushing or cleaning, making it
the most cost-effective, low maintenance ink jet printing system available today.

Assemble the printhead bracket according to the figure, and install the printhead in the specified
direction. Note: Be sure to use not too long screws to secure the printhead as longer screws could
damage the electronics inside the head. As an essential precise part of the equipment, the
printhead should be handled with care for protection against collision so as to avoid damage to
printhead parts. To obtain optimum print effect, the distance between the printhead bottom and the
targeted product surface should be less than 13mm. The conveyor speed is constant in order to get
Attach the two ends of printhead cable to the printhead and controller separately.
3. Input Device
Connect the data cable connector of input device to the input device interface of controller box. The
input device can be put on the top of controller box in the case of no operation (shown as Fig.3).
9

Fit the cap on the ink bottle as Fig. 4, and place the ink bottle on the position of ink bottle box. When
installing the equipment be aware that the master cap is screwed tightly for good airproof and the
thread and the sealing gasket is not be damaged, as during operation there is some air pressure in
the ink bottle. Then connect the air line from the ink delivery pump to the inlet fitting of air bottle cap.

the sliding bracket of Fig. 5 (fix to the side that the object comes to as possible).
7. Power Connection
Connect the power cord to the controller. The power plug should be properly connected to well
grounded power supply. To prevent damage to the system, it is suggested to use surge protector

2. Then ink in the bottle flows to the printhead under air pressure. For the system in which ink is
newly or repeatedly added, a manual purge must be performed to remove air from the ink line(s)
and printhead(s). Method: There is a manual purge valve on the back of the printhead. To avoid
contamination to the system, place a cloth (or paper towel) under the purge valve to collect ink
dripping from the purge valve. This will keep your system clean. Insert the supplied purge tube
(CAUTION: the system switch must be turned off when purge tube is installed. Fluid will squirt from
the purge valve under pressure. Do not activate the purge valve unless an appropriate waste
container is in place to collect the waste fluid.) into the manual purge valve, then the manual purge
valve is opened, and the liquid squirts from the end of purge tube. Purge each printhead until ink
flows constant (approximately 5-10 seconds) allowing all air to be removed from the ink line(s) and
printhead(s), and then remove the purge tube to complete a manual purge process for the system.
3. The final step in this initial startup procedure is to perform an electronic purge of the printhead(s).
Place some sheets of cardboard in front of each printhead being purged to collect the waste fluid,
which will spray from the nozzles. Follow the instructions in the Purge Nozzles section, and purge all
nozzles for each printhead. When the input device display shows the following message, the system
A purge will be performed each time the photocell is blocked, while this message is displayed.
Purge each printhead 3-4 times to remove all air and solvent from the nozzles. This will ensure
optimum print quality. NOTE: Once the photocell has been triggered, you will want to move the
waste material from side to side in front of the printhead to contain the ink on the waste material.
Never turn the power off during purging, or the electronic board will be burned.

the Lot Counter is not being used, the Maximum Count is usually set to 9999.
The Lot Counter keeps count of the total number of times Counter 1 has reached the Maximum
Count.

I. Necessary Tools
1. Cleaning Pot
3. Brush
* Clean printheads with cleaning agent instead of ink – replace cleaning agent of a
corresponding type.
* Activate the purge function – use the keypad to choose the function of nozzle purge.
* Cover the photocell eye with hands – cleaning time should not exceed 5 seconds. Repeat three
to five times.
26
III. Condor-II---------Daily Maintenance
1. Keep in mind that you should check the ink level and replace ink timely.
2. Clean nozzles by using brushes with cleaning agent of a corresponding type every two hours.
Turn the printer off and then on. Nozzle surface should be cleaned in advance.
IV. Condor-II---------Troubleshooting
1. No printing
* The nozzle(s) may be clogged. Pierce it with the special molybdenum wire and clean it.
* Check for and replace burned electromagnetic valve (It should be performed by a trained
technician).
* Adjust the stroke of valve core (It should be performed by a trained technician).
2. Ink Overflow
* Check for aged plug or worn spherical printing board, and replace as necessary.
*Check for spring failure or distortion and replace it as necessary (It should be performed by a
trained technician).
