I. Objectives:

The students must be able to:

a. employ appropriate speaking skills in a presentation;


b. use persuasive speech in composing and delivering their book talk

II. Instructions:

1. The students will be asked to perform a speaking activity through a book talk.
2. Each student will be asked to select and borrow books from their respective Reading Centers.
They will be given a week for them to read the book they have borrowed.
3. After reading, the students will be asked to present details about the book they have read. The
following contents will be followed for the presentation:
a. Book Title
b. Important details about the author
c. Interesting facts about the story
d. Why did you choose to dress up as your specific character?
e. Why did you choose the book?
4. The students will be graded according to the rubric given. (Please see attached file.)
