Prayer for the 8 Pillars of the Society

Family Pillar
The Family Pillar is the most basic beginning point. We come to earth by the pillar of
Family. The Family influences how we believe and think. God has meant the family to
be a companionship, fellowship, and relationship space. Repent of all sins in the family,
i.e., sexual immorality, idolatry, lust, incest, rape, homosexuality, etc. Pray for the Lord
to destroy all wicked strongholds in our families. Pray that the foundation of
righteousness, justice and love will replace all other foundations of iniquity in our
families (Deut. 32:22; 1 Cor. 3:10-15; Psalm 94:20, 97:2). Pray that God’s original
covenants of blessings for our families be renewed (Zech. 13:1-2; Hosea 2:18,22). 1
Cor. 3:10-15, 10 By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder,
and someone else is building on it. But each one should built with care. 11 For no one
can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 If
anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay, or straw,
13 their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be
revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. 14 If what has
been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. 15 If it is burned up, the builder will
suffer loss but yet will be saved-even though only as one escaping through the flames.
On behalf of the parents, repent of the sin of failing to be Godly authorities over your
children, of not being good role models, not providing for the needs of the family
(physical, emotional, spiritual needs). Pray that God will remove the darkness over them
and draw their hearts to the Lord Jesus. Pray for the heads of the families, for their
salvation, for God’s hand to be upon them to lead their families towards the
righteousness, will, plans and purposes of the Lord for them. Repent for our sins that
led to the break-up of our families and the Filipino men and women needing to go
abroad, separated from their families just to earn a living, when the land should be
providing for them. Repent of sins between husbands and wives- anger, hatred,
unforgiveness, unloving attitudes/ adultery; Sins between parents and children- anger,
hatred, unforgiveness, unloving attitudes, provoking children, rebellion against parents,
incest, etc. Repent of the sin of unforgiveness to those (family members, relatives) who
have wronged you or hurt you, for having a desire for vengeance in your heart. Release
forgiveness and blessing to them. Let God be the One to defend and avenge you, if
really needed. Pray that God spare our nation from impending calamities for the next
three years.
After repenting of our sins, let us pray for God’s mercy upon our land and people (He is
a good and merciful God), that He will minimize, mitigate, the effects of the judgement;
