Google Meet User Manual for Students

1. Lectures through online mode will be conducted using Google Meet application available through
official BITS student email ID.
2. Log into your institute e-mail account. Open the email of course instructor (course instructor
would share an email setting up the lecture session through Google Meet) and click on the Google
Meet Link (Example as shown below).

3. Then, you will enter the Google Meet window and it show as below. Click “join now” to enter the
lecture session.

4. You have to switch off your camera and microphone to allow streaming of the lectures clearly.

5. You may see that instructors share their presentations as below. If you have a question during the
lecture, you can type the question in the caption box, which the instructor can see and respond
to.

6. The instructor will end the lecture session on time, and you may have to join the next session as
per your existing class timetable. For that, you have to again find the email link shared by the
instructor and join the session.
7. The online lectures would be recorded and shared through an email link and/or will be posted in
the class page for access and utilization at a later time.
