1. Nature of 3/3 X 1 1 Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are some of the most
Problem common bacterial infections, affecting 150 million people
each year worldwide (Mireles et al (2015). In the
Philippines, UTI is one of the top five diseases that causes
morbidity in the year 2013 according to DOH. The
Department of Health (DOH) has expressed worries over
the growing number of cases of urinary problems,
especially among children, in the country. UTI is also one of
the most common health problem in the community in Daet
specifically barangay Bagasbas where UTI is the second
leading health concern of the people there. (Daily
dispensary from Nov. 2019- January 2020)
3. Preventive 1/3X1 0.33 A number of measures have not been confirmed to affect
potential UTI frequency including: urinating immediately after
intercourse, the type of underwear used, personal hygiene
methods used after urinating or defecating, or whether a
person typically bathes or showers. ( Immunol, 2015).
Vaccine development remains a long way from human use,
the use of probiotics or restore the normal vaginal flora and
provide competitive bacterial barrier to pathogens is close
to becoming available as an alternative preventive
approach. ( Reid, 2015)

afflicted individuals. It is becoming increasingly difficult to
treat owing to the widespread emergence of an array of
antibiotic resistance mechanisms (Ayub et. Al 2016)
