Speech of Presentation

The speech of presentation is among the typical ceremonial speeches that I have attended.

This speech was given at a movie award ceremony where those who produced the best movies of

the year where to get some prizes. The speech was given efficiently, and this could be seen from

the audience reaction. The speech content, organization, and delivery were explicit. First, the

speech was simple and clear making every audience to understand the message being put across

with ease (Verderber, Verderber, & Sellnow, 2011). The speaker elaborated why the honoree

was lucky for the choosing as the award winner of the day. The speaker was able to explain why

the presentation was important. Next, he told what every audience wanted to hear and this was

why the specific winner was chosen for the prize.

The speaker made the speech more effective by giving the highlighting what the prize

winner had done giving his work. Also, he recognized other people who did not win and

appreciated their efforts. From the begging to the end of the speech, it was evident that the

speaker centered his focus on the audience (Toda, Nakagiri, & Shikano, 2012). He also had to

make sure his speech was effective, efficient, and engaging by presenting right things in the best

right way, thus making the speech enjoyable and easy to listen. Besides, the speech became more

effective and memorable because the speaker was clearly focus on the presentation occasion and

he did not go outside the intended topic. His speech was also well organized with every point

well elaborated to support why the given prize winner shone above others. Similarly, he made

sure that he supported every detail in the best possible way to allow the audience have a clear

understanding.
