American hard dream

I believed I could fly high

And that I would never fall down

But I came to here to see how it could be like

And I found it wasn’t as I dreamed

I came to Samuel’s house

We got there a tiny bit bad

But Samuel wasn’t the nicest person

We were treated as drained rats

Then, the stuttered nation showed us

That happiness had got a price

We worked so hard just to get some pennies

To finally have less than deserved

And then, but really then

This crap of country gave us what

We were wishing so many years before, oh God

That now I will say a humble thank you

Juan Nicolás Calle,2008

America the Greedy
Hundreds of dollars spent on time
Money wasted for every being
Getting hurt every moment
Losing faith this very second

What is there to do in this life?

Knowing I won't have what I need
Not the house or secure job
Not the right life to live

America the great

Or injustice
That's the way it is
In this great nation

The poor can't succeed

The poor can't live
The poor can't live love
America is misery

The American Dream

By Brian Okabayashi
21st Century

Behind a desk afar the people's peril

He sits in a luxuriate office oval,
Where in comfort is preparing send
Us, Americans into several wars numerous.
Now hoping only his father's war to win,
Urban's crusade, the bloodbath of old, renew,
The opportunity is come,
Attack villages under
The leader you hate!
We love our wholesome home,
The land of noble free,
We, therefore, the sacrifice
Ultimate shall soon make
Your strike now hit,
You, none willing stop
A battle bloody, way far a'here.
Silence the beseechments of peace,
Mind whose future you take,
Quell the violence with war!
Send armies the innocent to butcher!
Hear not the infants' cry
Heads of whom royal signature dissevers,
Listen not to our world weep,
Hope not for victory, but your might display!
Cringe not at bombs you drop,
Speak not with enemies, rather them to slay!
End not your campaign long
Until the world over is drenched
With the blood of those you freed.

The American Dream by Ross Farrell (Year 8)

The American Dream is to have a good education

Then you would have an excellent reputation
For you to have a good, high paid job
Then you can become a snob.

It would be good to be unhealthy

To drive the fast expensive cars
around to all the casinos and the bars.

The Grand Canyon would be a nice place to see

Especially if you're in a helicopter
Looking down and around
With no towns to see.

It would be really nice to sunbathe

On the hot, clean, sandy beaches
And maybe join in the water sports
As the teacher teaches.
