Part 2: Job Safety Analysis

1. Mobilization of workers & equipment

2. Pigging
3. Hydro static testing water filling pressuring dewatering and drying
4. Demobilization

Now undertake the JSA and record in the table below. Use prompts on JSA Prompt Sheet and Hazard Checklist PA-HSEC-02-040-002-F03.
Part 3: Contingency Plans.
PPE shall be worn
Lifting shall be carried out with equipment and designated machinery as per manufacturers permitted duty.
All tools and structures used in lifting of pipe shall fulfill the requirements of AISC on allowable stress for bearing area
and structural stability
Pig launcher and receiver will be used. Bidirectional foam pigs shall be used .The pigging speed shall be b/w 0.8-8
meters / sec.

Part 4: EMERGENCY PROCEDURES

All system shall be shut down at the alarm siren

pressure indicator at both ends not
exceeding 100-PSI range
 Don’t open pig launcher or receiver
until system pressure has returned to
zero gauge at both ends regardless of
position of pig.

 Open the compressor service air only
after making connections at both ends.
