Akhuwat created a strong impact on its target population 
 
Akhuwat is a Micro-Finance Institution founded in 2001, which is owned by Dr.
Saqib. This Institution provides loans and funds without any interest to people.
Their vision of the organization was to create a poverty-free society for living.
They started this institution with 3 employees and now progressed to 289
branches in 186 cities in Pakistan. As a Financial Institution, it was measured by
its financial services which were measured accordingly to its financial
performance, load disbursement and recovery rates and all these services
showed incredible results. After the immense success and proving leadership of
Dr. Saqib for Akhuwat, In 2011-12, Dr. Saqb shared his responsibilities to
Shahzad, Rehan and other regional managers as he wanted to expand its
operations to achieve excellence. But the original goal at which Akhuwat was
founded was to increase Tolerance, Compassion, Voluntarism, and Happiness.
He wanted to measure these factors but unable to so he contacted one of his
friends.
 
 
Akhuwat made a very strong impact on its Target population by a significant 
improvement in the life of the beneficiaries: 
 
● People can now ask for loans and if considered eligible are provided with them, 
start their business and can pay it back without any interest. 
● People who were used to first ask for loans are now able to donate money. 
● Akhuwat has positively impacted the lives of thousands of small entrepreneurs 
like they did with their first borrower who was a female and wanted to open a 
small tailoring shop in her house 
● Borrowers’ lives have been improved and their living standards have also

● Income level of the borrower’s increased and now they become able to fulfill their 
needs. 
● Borrowers are now able to afford the employees for their business, which 
enhances employment opportunities.  
● Their health improved they stated passing life without tensions and worries. 
● They started getting better medical treatment and became capable of affording 
the do doctor for their medical check-up. 
● They have also created an economic impact on society by assisting with the
