Let the students copy the Activity no. 3.2 in Music.

Show pictures to the students.


After that, let them copy the concept notes of activity 3.2 in an
empty activity sheet.
Concept note;
The most prominent musical ensemble in the South is the
Kulintang ensemble. It consists of eight graduated-sized
gongs called Kulintang, a set of suspended gongs known as
Gandingan, a suspended bossed gong that plays the pulse of
15 minutes music called Agung, a tubular drum made from a hollow trunk of
a tree and covered with animal skin called Dabakan and a gong
that is slightly bigger than the smallest kulintang called
Babandil.
Besides the kulintang ensemble, the following
instruments are also found in the Mindanao region:
 Kubing- a thin bamboo slit with a narrow vibrating
tongue at the middle.
 Kudyapi- two-stringed lute that looks like a boat
 Gabbang- wooden xylophone of Sulu.
