TIPS TO INCREASE THE READING COMPREHENSION

1. Making connections through the feelings

experienced while Reading

2. Making connections through the comparison of

the reading made with another type of similar
reading.

3. Making connections of moments that were

lived at some time and that are related to
the reading made

4. Develop assumptions about the ideas you want to

make known to the author, through data that may be in the
reading or others that are a basis to complement with
previous knowledge.

5. After reading, we can tell someone about that reading,

where we emphasize the most important events or
lessons learned.
6. We can make sequential drawings or graphs of
the reading, to make a connection between what is
read and an image.

7. We can ask questions to generate greater

interest in reading and generate conclusions
about it.

8. Use the dictionary, since many texts may seem

difficult due to the terms, if we find an unknown word we
can search it immediately, and thus easily understand
reading ideas.

9. Make predictions about reading, you can

write in a notebook to be answered at the
end of the reading, this in turn will help
us generate conclusions about reading.

10. During the reading, we can take

notes of curious data or that attract our
attention, this will help us to associate that
information with the rest of the reading.
