0 - ROOFING MATERIALS

5.1 ROOF DECK

5.1.1 General Intention

The work include on course slab (roof deck) constructed in conformity with the lines,

grade, typical cross sections indicated on the plans, and covered with waterproofing materials to

prevent penetration of water on the concrete slab.

5.1.2 Materials

5.1.2A. Portland Cement shall conform to the requirements of ASTM. Standard

Specifications C 150 Type 1. Different brands of cement shall not be mixed during use.

5.1.2B. Fine aggregates shall consist of sand, stone screenings, or other approved inert

materials having clean, hard, strong, durable, sound, undercoat grains free from injurious amount

of dust, lumps, soft or flaky particles and other harmful substances.

5.1.2C. Course aggregates shall consist of crushed stone, gravel or approved inert

material having same characteristics as fine aggregates.
