 Carried out Combustion Inspection and Major inspection of Frame III and Frame V Generators of
BHEL make as per OEM specifications. Job includes carrying out removal of the generator and
turbine rotors, inspections and maintenance of the turbine blades, turbine buckets, combustion
chambers etc.
 Developed testing procedures of Numerical relays for HPCL-VR.
 Proficiency in carrying out simulation of Electrical systems in Matlab / Simulink environment.

 Preparation of detailed Maintenance Schedule Layout using CMMS tool MAXIMO for the purpose of

Work description:

To carry out review of Project Engineering Design Basis for Electrical system, identification of quality vendors and
developing Vendor list for upcoming projects, Inspection of vendors facilities, Monitoring of Project schedule, Resource
allocation, EHS plan etc.

Coordination with Vendors and PMC for mitigation of issues and fast tracking the project. Implementation &
Commissioning of ongoing Projects at HPCL-VR. Presently working on 2 nos. of Projects namely Crude Tank Conversion
to VGO (40 Cr) and Powering of New Building for VRMP projects (150 Cr).

Electrical Coordination for placement of Purchase orders for LSTK vendors for major Projects such as CDU/VDU, CPP,
HGU, NIU, RUF, FCHCU etc.

In the past have been into maintenance and suggested improvement measures for the assigned areas through innovation
/ experience on a regular basis and get the same implemented. To coordinate with other departments such as Operations,
Maintenance (other groups), Materials, and Finance for smooth execution of jobs. To maintain necessary documents and
statutory records guided by ISO 14001 and as per OISD (Oil Industry Safety Directorate) and other agencies.

To carry out turnaround and Inspection of Electrical equipments, during scheduled plant shutdowns. To carry out relay
coordination study, load flow analysis and harmonic analysis using various tolls available such as ETAP etc. for load
addition / deletion, system study, arc flash analysis.

To Coordinate with OEM of equipments for carrying out scheduled overhauling and for attending breakdown maintenance
as and when required.

To carry out RCFA (Root cause failure Analysis) in line with standard practices of Reliability centred Maintenance and
select appropriate techniques to deal with each type of failure process to improve asset performance and reduce the cost
of maintenance.

To carry out Competency Mapping of all the Electrical Engineers and prepare a development plan basis the
outcome of the mapping.

between the operation and maintenance personnel and to achieve better work quality for Electrical and
Instrumentation jobs. August 2003.
 Design of Mathematical Models for Electrical and Electronic components to Develop PLECS ( Piecewise
Linear And Electrical Circuit Simulator) at SWISS FEDERAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY , ETH ,
Zurich Switzerland during summer internship in May-July 2002. PLECS is presently being used for high speed
simulations of electrical and power electronic circuits for their transient and Steady State Analysis under
MATLAB/ Simulink.
 Design of Maximum power point tracker as a B Tech. Project for designing solar converters which can track
the intensity of the solar radiations and the power requirement for providing optimum efficiency. The MPPT is a
DC-DC converter which operates a photovoltaic solar panel at a voltage at which the power delivered is
Maximum. July 2002 to April 2003.
 Competency Mapping – Developed Guidelines for carrying out Competeny Mapping for the officers of Electrical
Maintenance/Projects in the Refinery. Subsequent to it assisted the department heads in carrying out the
mapping for the officers. Basis the competency Mapping preparation of Development plan is in progreaa.
