“Futoku no Guild” review.

Hey, it’s me again. I’m here to review “Futoku no Guild”, a manga about an adventurer
mentoring a new generation of heroes, which consist of cute girls who get molested by
monsters. You read that right.

This manga is a mix of adventure with slice of life that explores the possibility of having a
bunch of cute girls being terrible adventurers while one of them is sexually assaulted by the
creatures they encounter. Hitamuki, said girl, is a martial artist that isn’t really that good with
martial arts. Her redeeming feature is her motivation and childlike approach to adventure.
The cast also features a mage that gets tired easily, a priestess who is too scared to fight,
and a paladin who uses a berserker mode which makes her attack her senpai with love.

Clearly this whole series is a comedy. Let’s get started with the analysis.

*Story:
There’s not much of a story going on here. It really is cute girls doing adventuring things.
Nothing much to say about that.

*Art:
The ecchi scenes are very well drawn, and the comedic moments are on point. Despite this,
the series lacks more striking art for the combat scenes, as it’s not very impressive. But well,
it’s more of a comedy series than an action manga.

*Timing:
The story doesn’t progress that much, but the character do get a little progression with some
time. Regardless, this isn’t done with the greatest timing, as a lot of time there’s just comedic
ecchi moments.

*Characters:
I really like the girls of this show, they are cute and have a really fine personality, but the
greatest character of them all is the main protagonist. He is the straight man on this show
and the link between all the girls. His perception of his situation is hilarious and really on
point with the attitude of a teacher mentoring a group of idiots.
The chemistry with the cast is great and each and every one of their quirks is hilarious to
watch.

*Character design:
I can’t stop thinking about Hitamuki, her design is not as conventional as other series while
being as traditional as it gets. The other girls are fine too.

To me, this is a manga to relax with some laughs for when I don’t want a more serious
manga.
