MACHU PICCHU TOUR

Itinerary Overview
Discover the best of Peru as you travel to the high Andes and pristine Amazon rain forests. Explore the
magnificent ancient citadel of Machu Picchu, the most important archaeological monument in South
America. Accompanied by guides specialized in archaeology, history and Andean cultures, visit
monumental Inca stone temples, and the fascinating towns and Quechua Indian markets of Cusco and
the Urubamba Valley. Guides meet you at every transfer point and assist you with check-in to assure
smooth, reliable travel.

Your home in the jungle is a native-style ecolodge designed to provide comfortable accommodations near
the Tambopata area of Southeastern Peru. The region is habitat for several species of monkeys, giant
river otters, and an abundance of birds, including many species of macaws. Resident naturalists and local
native guides share their knowledge of tropical ecology while accompanying you on hikes through
protected reserves, on canoe trips to oxbow lakes, and amidst the treetops on an extensive canopy
walkway.
