GIS TRAINEE

DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE:

 Good exposure in Auto cad, Microstation and ArcInfo with 0-1 yrs exp

 Any diploma/graduates

 Proficiency in computer operations.

 Cadd certification added advantage

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Responsible for production activities in GIS Conversion Projects.

 Need to have good analytical skills.

 Responsible for achieving daily production targets.

 Good team player

 Ability to work in shifts.


 Accepting instruction and training in the vocation given by the employer or by a
workplace supervisor
 Attending scheduled training delivered by the registered training organization
 Completing assignments and other assessment tasks set by the registered training
organisation
 Maintaining the competency record book or work evidence guide if you have been issued
one
 Always notifying your supervisor if you are running late or unable to come to work,
TAFE or another place of study
 Notifying State Training Services if there are changes to your personal details such as
name, home address, postal address or if you have any concerns about completing your
apprenticeship or traineeship.

GIS ENGINEER

DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE:


 Bachelors Degree in Geoinformation Science/Earth Science/Environmental Science or
equivalent with experience 2-5 years
 Knowledge of principles, practices and tools for GIS system design
 Experience with GIS tools, including ESRI's ArcGIS, AutoCAD Map, Microstation,
ArcSDE and Google Earth
 Advanced computer skills

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Ability to perform data translation, editing, creation, and maintenance.


 A working knowledge of ArcGIS and familiarity with various GIS datasets
 Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
 Ability to work well individually or as part of a team.
 Attention to detail.
 Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, quality-oriented environment.
 Responsible for setting and implementation of systems, procedures for developing GIS
databases for Hazard maps.
 Project planning and implementation of various projects involving DEM / DTM
databases for RF planning requirements from on-shore, off-shore cellular network
operators and other GIS users.
 Project planning and implementation of carious AM/FM projects from US County
authorities and other GIS users.
 Involved in preparation of project bids, prototyping, customization, project planning,
training, installation and providing necessary technical support to Business Development
team and Clients

GIS TEAM LEAD

DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE:

 Bachelors Degree in Geoinformation Science/Earth Science/Environmental Science or


equivalent with experience 5+ years
 Professional experience using GIS/CAD Software’s
 Solid writing and communication skills
 Strong trouble-shooting skills
RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Perform software testing, analysis, and diagnosis to identify bugs using the latest
techniques, methodology, and technology
 Execute daily quality tests on ongoing projects
 Design, write, and execute testing plans
 Ensure and certify the overall quality of the system

 Perform basic mapping and analysis using ESRI GIS products;
 Communicate clearly and concisely in English, both orally and in writing;
 Strong trouble-shooting skills

RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Perform GIS analysis and spatial modeling

 Develop solutions, standards, and procedures for applying GIS technology to


organizational objectives.

 Develop and maintain spatial databases and datasets.

 Update latest technologies and implementation

 To manage and supervise a 4 member people for GIS operations in Madurai

 Setting quality standards & defining the process for the smooth flow.

 Preparing the documentation for the process training & quality assurance.

 Coordinating with various departments for the data collection & updation

 To maintain smooth flow of day-to-day operations in operations.

 Doing system study for regular up gradation of Software application for the user
requirement & hardware up gradation using .net environment

 Job profile also includes Weekly review with Project Manager Technical & reporting the
daily MIS of the activity.

SENIOR GIS ANALYST

DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE:

 Bachelors Degree in Geoinformation Science/Earth Science/Environmental Science or


equivalent with experience 5+ years.
 Perform advanced mapping and analysis using ESRI GIS products;
 Database design and integration between Microsoft Access and ArcGIS;
 Communicate clearly and concisely in English, both orally and in writing;

GIS BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE:

 Bachelors or Master Degree in Business Management or GIS, or other relevant field.


 Five or more years of proven experience in the sales and marketing of complex enterprise
solutions.
 Ability to think strategically and relate well to customers senior management and
project/technical personnel.
 Self motivated, creative, and team oriented.
 Ability to develop productive relationships with customers, colleagues, and management.

 Excellent interpersonal, writing, presentation, and leadership skills

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Undertake executive-level engagement with targeted enterprise customers to define


business and technology project requirements.
 Develop and implement account plans, business capture strategies, and proposals in
association with the Sales and Professional Services teams.
 Derive and close business opportunities for a broad range of services, programs, and
solutions with targeted enterprise accounts.
 Lead and manage multiple engagements simultaneously from a business and customer
relationship perspective.
 Prepare and present high quality proposals.
 Someone who really knows GIS, developed GIS, good layer structure, understands
data/data organization/system hierarchy, understand importance of different layers, and
understand the different value and importance of GIS to various departments and
organizations.
 Ability to train and communicate well with others. Be able to communicate with
technical staff as well as speak in layman’s terms.
 Liaison with outside agencies and their leadership teams (i.e. councils, boards, etc.).
 Stay on top of GIS trends; not stay in a vacuum – be progressive.
