Model VA20/35/80
Vented Anti-Cavitation Check

Part #355-9001-277 Part #355-9001-276

The vented, anti-cavitation checks are available in the
Model VA/VG control valves. Both will fit into the standard
port relief valve cavity.
The vented anti-cavitation valves are used to activate or
cut out a portion of a circuit or a sub-circuit from a remote
location. This can be done manually or automatically by
simply opening or closing a small pilot line between the
anti-cavitation check and the tank.
With the pilot line open, a small amount of pressurized oil
can flow through the orifice in the check poppet. This
action causes a drop in pressure behind the poppet. The
higher pressure in front of the poppet unseats the poppet
which allows pump flow to divert to the tank core passage Note: for lower pressur
pressur e dop applications please

disabling the function. contact the factor
factoryy.

Closing the pilot line stops the flow through the orifice Part #355-9001-276 is used when only one vented anti-
equalizing pressure on both sides of the poppet. Because cavitation check is needed. Part #355-9001-277 is used in
the back of the poppet has a larger effective area than the a circuit where two or more vented anti-cavitation checks
front of the poppet, the equalized pressure forces the are required to share a common pilot drain line. Its internal
poppet against its seat, closing the pump to the tank core check valve prevents communication between work ports
reactivating the function. when the common drain is blocked.
