Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) which was enhanced by several successive tropical cyclones ‘Henry’, “Inday’, and “Josie" battered the region the previous days. Due to the vulnerability and geological challenges, one death, landslide incidents, damage to properties and power interruptions were reported. Given the adverse effects of Habagat, we recommend the immediate conduct of a Provincial Rapid Damage Assessment and Need Analysis (Provincial RDANA) as soon as weather permits the safe conduct of said evaluation. The implementation of a Rapid Damage Assessment and Need Analysis will provide accurate information, and proper documentation and estimation of damages and initial needs.
