practice/safety briefs/etc. Eat ashore.

Costs:

As we expect/hope for a complement of 10 people per yacht, the costs per head are estimated
as follows:

Crew Letter - 2 1
Flights - TBD return ticket + taxes £180
Yacht Charter 3,090EU ÷ 10 = 309Eu £265
On-Board provisioning £1000 ÷ 10 = £100 £100 (see note: #1)
Transfers to/from TBD Airport (Sicily) 200Eu ÷ 10 = 20Eu £ 16
Total £561

Note #1 Obviously, meals / drinks / etc. ashore will be paid for individually and
berthing fees, on-board provisioning, fuel, etc. collectively. Should the yacht kitty run short,
all crew will be asked to contribute; likewise if we have spare funds, this will be distributed
evenly (or blown on a final crew meal).

Crew List:
Yacht 1 Skipper - Al Mellor

Yacht 2:-

Mike Redrup - Skipper (Dayskipper)

Ian Mellor - Mate (Dayskipper)
Caroline Walker - (Dayskipper)
Paul Whittaker Novice
Helena Clifford Novice
Mark Enness (Dayskipper)
Vicci Hand (Dayskipper)
TBD - vacant
TBD - vacant
TBD - vacant

We are running this as mini-flotilla with Al & Mike making the decisions.

Thanks for your initial deposits (£138). Please note that this is only refundable if we can find
replacement crew. The next payment (flights) should not be until next year.

All payments for flights and yacht charter will be paid by me, and there is also a requirement
for a €3500 (refundable) security (damage) deposit to be left with the Operators on taking
over the yacht and I will cover this. Should there be any damage, which requires payment, all
crew will contribute evenly regardless whose fault (if any) it is! Additional payment for fuel
will need to be made on handover of the yacht; this payment will also come from the kitty.
Provisioning will be paid for from the kitty (with top ups from all crew if required).

Transport for all crew (except TBD) and TBD of Al’s compliment will depart from the
Brampton Institute @ TBD am prompt on the morning of Saturday 10th September. If you
miss the transport, then you will need to make your own way to the airport! Don’t be late!
Transport will meet those returning on Saturday 17th September and return them to the
Brampton Institute. Cars may be parked in the Club car park to the rear of the Club – Please
do not make undue noise. There will be an additional charge for those of you using this
option.

All crew will need to be in possession of a valid passport. It is also recommended that you
take with you a current E111 form/card.

BERTHS (SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS) ARE AS FOLLOWS:

Port Aft Cabin – Mike & Caroline

Starboard Aft Cabin – Paul & Helena
Port Centre Cabin (2) – Ian & Mark
Crew Letter - 2 2
Starboard Centre Cabin (2) – Vicci
For’ard Cabin (2) – TBD

This may need to be changed if we get more crew or on the day as we are unsure of the actual
yacht layout.

PERSONAL EQUIPMENT

The information below is a useful checklist of personal items to bring with you. If you
exceed the list by very much you will have stowage problems. Take what shore kit you wish,
but nothing over-smart and it should fit on one hanger (ties not essential). Pack everything in
a collapsible grip or kitbag because there is nowhere to put a rigid suitcase aboard.
Remember that clothes used for deck work may get torn or oily and will certainly at some
time get wet.

Essentials. (Other than shore kit)

RYA Log Book (if you have one)

2 Prs jeans/trousers/tracksuit bottoms
2/3 shirts
2/3 T shirts (to wear under normal shirts when cold)
1 pair shorts
Changes of underwear
Socks (woollen are best)
1 Pr deck shoes (non-marking soles) / deck boots (not Wellingtons)
Foul Weather Clothing (i.e. a waterproof jacket, hat, over-trousers {if available}).
1 Towel and washing kit
1 T-Towel
Torch
PASSPORT
E111 Card

NB. This is not to be taken as a definitive pack-up but rather as a minimum suggested
requirement.

Life Jackets and Harness are provided on board.

One final thing:

All the best,

Mike
