why not install from a USB stick

"Boot the DVD and select Install CentOS Linux 8.0.1905 from the boot menu."
I downloaded the iso today from your link (CentOS-8-x86_64-1905-dvd1.iso). It was 6.6 GB large. How do I write
that to a DVD medium that is maximum 4.7 GB?
I just learned that there are dual layer DVDs that can hold 8.5 GB and that my DVD burner can do that. Finding 8.5
GB DVD dual layer discs is not easy in the mountains of Maine. Since you mention it so casually, I am still
wondering if you found a way to burn an iso that would fit a 4.7 GB DVD.

Yoi may need to use dual layer DVD or write the image in USB stick
Thanks
