Evinrude® E-TEC® G2 Outboards

This bulletin is to inform Evinrude® dealers of a special tool to hold the flywheel in place during
service for All Evinrude® E-TEC® and All Evinrude® E-TEC® G2 outboards.

Optional Service Tool

Optional service tools will NOT automatically ship to dealers in the U.S. and Canada
and should be ordered as needed from your BRP Parts and Accessories (P&A)
distributor.
The following tool is used to safely and correctly hold the flywheel of All Evinrude® E-
TEC® and All Evinrude® E-TEC® G2 outboards:

359868 - Flywheel holder:

Use to hold the flywheel in place while applying torque to the flywheel nut.
Use with the Flywheel Nut Socket, P/N 357715, to remove and install the flywheel nut
from the crankshaft.
Use with the Lifting Eye, P/N 357667, to lift and maneuver the outboard.
NOTE: The Flywheel Removal Tool, P/N 357714, may also be used with the Lifting
Tool, P/N 357667, if the flywheel threads are damaged.

Installation of the Flywheel holder, P/N 359868:

NOTE: Be sure to keep the three black o-rings intact with the tool during removal from
the flywheel. The black o-rings cushion between the tool and the flywheel.
