Statement of Purpose.

I’m from Thailand. I currently study at Mahidol University International Demonstration

School. Since I was young, I always like to watch Japanese animation which leads me to my
ability to speak Japanese. My goal right now is to get admitted to TIU and also improve
myself more in terms of studying such as Japanese and English.

I have decided to study a major in business because of the inspiration I received when I
chose accounting as my elective in grade 11. I enjoyed the course so much, and I realized
that this is the correct path for me to follow. In grade 12, I also took finance and economics
as my electives in order to prepare for university. This is because I think that knowing the
basics of those business-related subjects first will help me understand the topic more easily
when I learn these again in the future. It will also help me have a headstart over other
students. Also, in grade 11, I had a chance to be an intern in a tour company in Thailand. As
my Japanese language level is at N2, I was in charge of confirming schedules with
restaurants, parks, and aquariums in Japan. Sometimes, I also had to deal with some
problems caused by third parties, so I gained problem-solving skills and experience from this
internship. The internship also made me pay more attention to detail as I had to deal with
every item for every customer in order to make sure their tour was successful. I believe that
my ability to speak Japanese, the problem-solving skill I learned from the internship, and my
attentiveness will be of help to me in learning in TIU later on.

I choose Tokyo International University because I am interested in the new major which is
Digital Business and Innovation and because I like Japan very much. I was attracted to it as I
believe in its potential to develop in the future because AI is becoming more popular and
more important to the world. This major is perfect for me as I will be able to learn about
electronics while studying in a business-related field that I enjoy. I like Japan because I had
a chance to have a cultural exchange trip to Japan together with my friends during middle
school. I stayed in Japan for 1 month, and I got to experience the punctuality of the people
there. Also, I had a chance to experience many cultures of Japan such as tea ceremony and
Ikebana. This trip to Japan made me fall in love with Japan, which also led to my decision to
study in Japan. Finally, I believe that studying at TIU will help me pave my way to a better
future because of the quality of education there, and help me improve my English and
Japanese language skills. I believe that I would be a good choice for TIU of my ability and
characteristics. I’m able to speak Japanese and English well. I believed that my ability to
speak both languages will be able to bond many students from different countries together.
Also, I’m a hardworking person, even though TIU required me to get at least 5.5 for IELTS
score, I strived to improve myself. In my third time, I was successful and get 7.5 which was
higher than my scores before. It shows that I always try to improve myself, so I believe that
TIU will not have a loss after they accepted me to be a student there. Instead, they will have
an attentive learner and an engaging community member.
