2. Brief introduction:-
Microsoft Excel is a spreadsheet program that is used to record and analyse
numerical data. Think of a spreadsheet as a collection of columns and rows that form
a table. Alphabetical letters are usually assigned to columns and numbers are usually
assigned to rows. The point where a column and a row meet is called a cell. The
address of a cell is given by the letter representing the column and the number
representing a row. Let's illustrate this using the following image.

 Computer Definition:-

an electronic device which is capable of receiving information (data) in a

particular form and of performing a sequence of operations in accordance
with a predetermined but variable set of procedural instructions (program)
to produce a result in the form of information or signals.

 Microsoft Excel Definition:-

Microsoft Excel is a spreadsheet program included in the Microsoft
Office suite of applications. Spreadsheets present tables of values
arranged in rows and columns that can be manipulated mathematically
using both basic and complex arithmetic operations and functions.
 Techopedia explains Microsoft Excel
Excel is a commercial spreadsheet application produced and
distributed by Microsoft for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS. It
features the ability to perform basic calculations, use graphing tools,
create pivot tables and create macros.
Excel has the same basic features as all spreadsheet applications, which
use a collection of cells arranged into rows and columns to organize
and manipulate data. They can also display data as charts, histograms
and line graphs. Excel permits users to arrange data so as to view
various factors from different perspectives. Visual Basic is used for
applications in Excel, allowing users to create a variety of complex
numerical methods. Programmers are given an option to code directly
 using the Visual Basic Editor, including Windows for writing code,
debugging and code module organization.
