Story  of  the  Well

The  well  was  ini1ally  drilled  with  a  Rotary  Steerable

System  and  surveyed  with  the  RGS-‐DP  -‐  drop  gyro  and
MWD  down  to  2705.2m.  MWD  surveys  only  were
collected  to  TD  at  3272.6m.  MWD  surveys  of  the  last
400m  drilled  showed  the  following  azimuth  (inclina1on
builds  from  58  deg  to  70  deg  over  this  sec1on):

The  comple1on  assembly  was  then  run  and  following
the  failure  of  2  E.S.P.s  a  Micro-‐Guide  log  was  requested.

The  data  from  the  Micro-‐Guide  log  is  collected  at
21.74Hz  and  makes  it  possible  to  track  the  well  path  at
0.1@  intervals  in  order  to  analyze  the  effect  of  micro-‐
doglegs.

In  this  case,  the  con1nuous  data  processed  at  1  meter
intervals  painted  a  completely  different  picture  of  how
the  well  had  been  drilled.
