General Conditions and Bid Qualification Requirements
The tenders will be opened at 14.00 hrs. on the due date as mentioned above by the undersigned or by
1 his authorized representatives. If TANTRANSCO (TNEB Ltd.,) declares holiday on the date of opening of
the tender, the tenders will be opened on the next working day.
Sale of tender specification/tender documents will be stopped at 14.00 hrs. on the previous working day of

date for receipt of tenders.
The tender specification/tender documents are not transferable. If the tender specification/tender
3
document is required by post, an additional amount of Rs.100/- shall be paid for postage.
If the particulars/documents furnished along with the tender bids are found to be bogus or the documents
4 contains false particulars, the EMD paid by the tenderers will be forfeited, in addition to blacklisting them
for future tenders/contracts in TNEB.
If the tenders are not submitted in the authenticated departmental form, along with the permanent

receipt for having paid the EMD on or before the due date and time, the same shall be summarily rejected.
The undersigned reserves the right to distribute the works or to reject any or all the tenders with out

assigning any reasons at any stage.
If the contractors fail to participate in three consecutive tenders, after purchased the tender set, further
7
tender notices will not be sent to them from this office.
The tender sets will be sold to the contractors registered in TNEB only. However, if any registered
contractors in other Govt. Departments who have not registered in T.N.E.B.,but participated in the tender

call should register themselves as a registered contractor in T.N.E.B. before awarding of work if they
become the lowest.
The specification can be downloaded from the TNEB Website (www.tneb.in) and (www.tenders.tn.gov.in)

at free of cost.
10 Attested copy of Registration certificate shall be enclosed along with tender bid.
11 Bid Qualification requirement for the value of works more than Rs.25 lakhs.
The tenderer should have executed similar type of works to a value not less than 40% of the tender value
i) in single agreement in any one of the past ten financial years.
(or)
The tenderer should have executed similar nature of works to a value not less than the tender value in the
past ten financial years.
ii) Attested Copy of Completion certificate from not less than the rank of Exe.Engineer should be enclosed.
The above details should be furnished in Envelope "A".

The envelope "A" shall contain proof for relevant bid qualification requirements and should not contain

any price bids,and Envelope "B" shall contain only Price Bid.
The outer cover shall contain (i) DD or EMD receipt or proof of exemption of EMD along with undertaking
specified. (ii) Attested copy of current registration/Renewal certificate. (iii) Copy of PAN Card (iv) Attested
copy of STCC (v) Attested copy of income tax return filed and (vi) Envelope :A: and Envelope "B".(vii)

one of the above, as mentioned then the offer will be summarily rejected and the price Bid
