The benefits of outdoor recreational activities are multitudinous and greatly help us in various ways.

One advantage is that it helps our physical health to become better. It not just makes you to look
physically fit but also it maintains lower body fat percentages, leads to lower blood pressure and
cholesterol levels, and improves stamina and energy levels and makes you be physically active.

depression. Because your mental wellness is a crucial part of your overall health, outdoor recreational

All people, either adults or children will benefit socially from outdoor recreational activity. Taking part in
sports and recreation provides kids to seniors with an opportunity to meet and build relationships with

passion for outdoor recreation.

Furthermore, these outdoor activities contribute to economic growth through business investment and
employment, and can attract day and night tourists to a scenic area and it will be highly possible that

hotels, buy equipment, lease land, and pay for travel costs. Opportunities for these activities will be
highly conducive for the country’s economy.

3. How can you protect the environment while doing such activities?

Doing such activities will help us protect the environment in many ways. These are the following:
* promotes the use of active modes of transport, such as cycling and walking.

*environmental education programs (field trips, hiking, camps, adventure activities) develop humans'
relationships to the natural environment
*helps sustain the environment through protecting open space such as parks, beaches and natural
areas.
4. What is snorkeling?
Snorkeling is the practice of swimming on or through a body of water while equipped with a diving
mask, a shaped breathing tube called a snorkel, and usually swimfins.
It is a popular recreational activity, particularly at tropical resort locations. The primary appeal is the
opportunity to observe underwater life in a natural setting without the complicated equipment and
training required for scuba diving. It appeals to all ages because of how little effort there is, and without
the exhaled bubbles of scuba-diving equipment.

5. What are the equipments in snorkeling?

Essential equipment includes the snorkel for breathing, and a diving mask or swimming goggles for
vision. Swimfins for more efficient propulsion are common. Environmental protection against cold,
sunburn and marine stings and scratches is also regionally popular, and may be in the form of a wetsuit,
diving skins, or rash vest.
*Snorkel is a device used for breathing air from above the surface when the wearer’s head is face
downwards in the water with the mouth and the nose submerged.
*Diving mask enables the snorkeler to see clearly underwater.
*Swimfins, fins or flippers are finlike accessories worn on the feet, and usually made from rubber or
plastic, to aid movement more efficiently through the water in water sports activities.
*Exposure protection
Includes wetsuits, dive skins, and rash guard for environmental protection
*Weight belts are the most common weighting system currently in use for snorkeling and allow the
dumping of weight rapidly in an emergency.

6. What are the common problems do you encounter during snorkeling?

Since snorkeling is an act of swimming on or through a body of water there are many common problems
that first time snorkelers experience. These include:
Sunburn
Fear
Leaking face mask
Water flooding your snorkel tube
Exhaustion
Injury
Because of these problems, we will not be able to enjoy and witness the beauty of the underwater
world.

7. What do you usually do if these problems arise?

Most people are worried about snorkeling problems because of lack of knowledge or experience of the
situation. But for me, to overcome these risks, first of all, I ask for guidance and safety from the Lord.
That's the first thing to do and all the precautionary measures and self preparation will follow. Don't
panic underwater and stay in buddy pair when you’re in the water. These problems will be easily
overcome if you have someone to call for help.
