Project background

Problem statement
• Rural area where electricity is scarce such as in sabah and sarawak.
• However, there have  abundant renewable energy source such as solat, hydro, so it would be
advantages to utilize these energy, but however its only convert from one type of source to
electrical  energy, it will be advantages to have multiple input source compared to have only
single input source.

Objective
• To Design a Multiple input single ouput (MISO) DC/DC CONVERTER for dc home
application.
• To conduct simulation to evaluate the performance of the converter.
• To create a method to combining multiple energy souce for a single distribution source to the
house.

Scope
• Evaluate the performance of the system on LTspice software.
• To Allow multiple different input sources to create a single higher output power source
• Boost converter is used to step up from 24v to 48v
• Mosfet is used as a switch
• Boost converter is fundamental topology used for this project.

Expected result
• The intended output voltage for this project is a single 48v dc output
