The following text is for question 1 to 3

Zebras are equids, a family of mammals and members of the horse family,
native to Africa. The word “zebra” comes from the Portuguese zevra, which means
“wild ass”. One can certainly see how the zebra might have been mistaken for the
wild ass at first glance, since the animals have similar body types. Zebras are
probably most famous for their distinctive striped coats, which make them quite
memorable animals.
There are several different species of zebras, but all of them are in the same
genus, Equus, which they share with horses. Like other equids, zebras are odd-toed
ungulates with muscular bodies which are built for running. Zebras were among the
earliest animals to split from the original equids, along with asses and as a result, they
have had an extended period of time to adapt to the unique challenge of the African
landscape.
These animals have very stout, muscular bodies which are designed for
immense speed and strength. When threatened, a zebra can choose run, often
choosing a zig-zagging pattern to distract the predator, or they can fight, using
powerful jaws and heavy hooves to attack their enemies. Like asses zebras have
tufted tails and they also have short, upright manes of coarse hair, along with
unusually large ears which give these animals a very good sense of hearing.
1. What will a zebra do when it is threatened?
A. It will split its tail
B. It will run in zig-zagging pattern
C. It will hide behind bushes or high walls
D. It will adapt to the unique challenges

A flamingo is a beautiful pink wading bird. Although we mostly think of

flamingos wading in the water, they can fly as well. They have to run to gather speed
before they can take off. They often fly in large flocks.
Flamingos live in a habitat of low level water such as lagoons or mudflats or
lakes. They like to wade around in the water searching for food. They are very social
and occasionally live in large groups of as many as 10,000 birds.
Flamingos get most of their food by filtering out the mud and water in their
bills to eat insects and crustaceans like shrimp. They get their pink coloring from the
pigment in their food, carotenoid, which is the same thing that makes carrots orange.
Scientists aren’t 100% sure why flamingos stand on one leg, but they have a
few theories. One says that it is to keep one leg warm. In the cold weather they can
keep one leg next to their bodies helping it to stay warm. Another idea is that they are
drying out one leg at a time. A third theory states that it helps them trick they prey,
because one leg lools more like a plant than two. Whatever the reason is, it is truly
amazing that these top heavy birds can balance on one leg for hours at a time. They
even sleep while balanced on one leg.
