Objective :
This workshop was intended to provide awareness among the student community
on the different cyber threats that are taking place every day. Mr. Narasimha Rao
therefore accepted to deliver a workshop on the same.
Workshop Contents :
The workshop discussion was focused on the following topics
1) Primary Online Risks and Threats
- Viruses
- Worms
- Trojans
- Spyware
- Online frauds
- Phishing
- Hoaxes
- Identity thefts and threats
- Spam Messages etc…
2) Cyberbullying and Other threats
- File sharing abuses
- Invasion of Privacy
- File sharing Abuses
- Invasion of Privacy
- Disturbing content
- Predators etc…
3) Responsible Online Behaviour
- The speaker stressed all the audience to change their browser settings
and see whether any cookies are existing that are vulnerable to attack.
He also said that his organization Cyberpeace Corps would help them in
any kind of attack by informing the Cybercrime Police.

- He also said that according to the IT act the following Sections will be in
force if people are involved in Cybercrimes
Sec 66, Sec 43, Sec 66B, Sec 66C etc…
6) Understanding data used in smartphone
7) Checking the basic settings of your transaction
- Two-factor authentication
- Login Alerts
- Control audience etc…
8) Duplicate Cards
9) Social Media etc…

Outcome :
The students understood the different cyber crimes that are conducted
every day and the ways how they perform it. This workshop has definitely
motivated the young engineering students also come forward to ensure
that such threats can be reduced in the near future.

We thank the Management, The Principal, The Deans, The Directors and
the HOD’s of MCA, CSE and IS for permitting this event to take place in our
college auditorium.

We thank everyone for attending this workshop that gave several benefits
and awareness on Cyber Crimes and Consumer Awareness.
