1.0 OBJECTIVE :
To describe a procedure for cleaning of ISHIDA weigher components
2.0 RESPONSIBILITY :
Alto machine operator and Shift In-charge are responsible for effective
implementation of this SOP.
3.0 SCOPE :
To understand and master the mounting, and cleaning procedures of each
component in order to prevent foreign matters from getting in and to keep the
weigher in hygienic condition.
4.0 PROCEDURE :
4.1 PRECAUSTIONARY STEPS
4.1.1 Ensure that main power supply is OFF
4.1.2 When cleaning the dispersion table, do not apply excessive pressure.
4.1.3 When cleaning the weigh hopper do not apply excessive pressure.
4.1.4 Do not use brush on any rubber cover .The dispersion feeder and the hopper
hanger of the weight drive unit is connected to the Weigh sensor. Do not
apply excessive load on them.
4.1.5 Do not clean the operation panel of the remote control unit by rubbing it
strongly or using adhesive tape or with thinner, any organic solvent.
4.1.6 Do not apply detergent directly to the operator panel of the remote central unit
4.1.7 Detergent not containing chlorine can be used
4.2
DISMANTLING OF PARTS
4.2.1 Remove the units or components listed below as per following order and
clean individual.
1) In-feed Funnel
2) Top cone
3) Main feeder
4) Feeder cover
5) Feed buckets

4.3 WASHING :
4.3.1 Wash each component individually with neutral detergent water and then
with normal water.
4.3.2 Ensure that the traces of detergent are removed completely
4.4 STERILIZATION :
4.4.1 Sterilize each component with 80 % Isopropyl Alcohol solution.
4.5 REMOUNTING :
4.5.1 Remount the each units/components in the reverse order of removal.
4.6 Ensure that the unit or components is surely mounted.
