For god will not be mocked (which I earnestly

admonish) as worldly men, pleasing and

flattering themselves with their own wisdom,
think: god, I say, will not be mocked, but the
creator of all things will be invoked with
reverential fear, and acknowledged with due
obedience.

நான் உற்சாகமாக கூறும் அறிவுரை

என்னவென்றால் இறைவன் சத்தியத்தில் உழைக்கும்
உலக மக்களை ஒருபோதும் உதாசீனம்
செய்வதில்லை , உண்மை ஆண்மகன் தனது சொந்த
ஞானத்தினால் இன்பம் என்னும் பெருவெள்ளத்தை
மனமகிழ்ச்சியுடன் அடையமுடியும் ,
இப்பேர்பட்டவர்களின் உழைப்பை இறைவன்
ஒருபோதும் தடுப்பதில்லை மாறாக

(1) The first of which is invocation of god.

இதில் முதல் கோட்பாடடு இயற்கை என்னும்
இறைவனை பிரார்த்தனை செய்து சங்கல்பம் செய்வது.

(2) The second is contemplation of nature.

இரண்டாவது கோட்பாடு இயற்கை என்னும்
பஞ்சபூதத்த்தை பற்றி ஆராய்வது.
 (3)The third is the true prepration.
மூன்றாவது கோட்பாடு பரிபாஷைகள்
உடைக்கப்பட்ட உண்மையான செய்முறைகளை
அறிவது.

(4)The fourth is the way of using it.

நான்காவது கோட்பாடு அதை எப்படி
உபயகோபடுத்துவது என்பதை பற்றி அறிவது.

(5)The fifth utility and fruit.

ஐந்தாவது கோட்பாடு உடலில் ஞானப்பழத்தை
சேர்ப்பது.

For he who regards not these shall never

obtain place among true chemists or fill up
the number of perfect spagyrist.

மேலே கூறப்பட்ட இந்த ஐந்து கோட்பாடுகளை

ஒரு பொருட்டாக கருதாதவர்கள் , உண்மையான
வேதியலாளர்கள் கூட்டத்தித்தில் ஒருபோதும்
இணைய முடியாது , இவ் உலகில் வெற்றி அடைந்த
விறல் விட்டு எண்ணக்கூடிய ஒருசில ரசவாதிகளின்
பெயர் பட்டியலுடன் நமது பெயர் இடம் பெறாமல்
பொய்விட கூடும்.

Therefore touching these five heads we

shall here following treat and so far declare
them ,as that the general work may be brought
to light and perfected by an intent and
studious operator.

எனவே இந்த ஐந்து கோட்பாடுகளின்

அடிப்படையில் சிந்தித்து முயற்சி
செய்தோமேயானால் உண்மையான செய்முறைகள்
வெளிச்சத்துக்கு வர தொடங்கும் துல்லியமான
உண்மை செய்முறைகளை சத்திய நெறியில் வாழும்
உண்மை ஆராய்ச்சியாளரால் அடைய முடியும்.

(1) Invocation of god must be made with a certain

heavenly intention, drawn from the bottom of a pure and
sincere heart, And conscience, free from all ambition ,
hypocrisies ,and all other vices, which have any affinity
with these ,as arrogance ,boldness ,pride , luxury ,
mundane petulancy, operation of the poor ,and other
dependent evils ,all which are to be eradicated out of the
heart ,that when a man desires to prostrate himself before
the throne of grace ,for obtaining bodily health he may do
that with a conscience free from all un profitable weeds
,that his body may be transmuted into an holy temple of
god ,and be purged from every uncleanness.

(1) இறைவனிடம் பிரார்த்தனை செய்யும்போது

சொர்கத்தினை அடையும் நோக்கத்துடன்
சத்திய வழியில் முயற்சி செய்ய வேண்டும்,
ஒரு தூய மற்றும் உண்மையான இதயத்தின்
கீ ழே இருந்து செயல்முறைகளை ஆராய்தல்
வேண்டும், மனசாட்சிபடி நடந்துகொள்ள
வேண்டும், மற்ற சாதாரண உலக
லட்சியங்களிலிருந்து விடுபட வேண்டும் ,
வெளிவேடங்களை , பாசாங்குத்தனம், மற்றும்
அனைத்து பிற தீமைகளிலிருந்து விடுபட
வேண்டும் , ஆணவம் , அகந்தை , குருட்டு
தைரியம், தர்பெருமை, தற்புகழ்ச்சி ,
ஆடம்பரம் , சாதாரணமாக மற்ற உலக மக்கள்
மீ து எரிந்து விழுதல் , மற்றவர்கள்
முயற்ச்சியை கண்டு பொறாமை
கொள்ளுதல் , தரம் தாழ்ந்த அறிவியலற்ற
செய்முறைகள் , மற்றும் புறம் சார்ந்த
 தீமைகள் , மேலே கூறிய அணைத்து தீய
விடயங்களையும்

(வியாபிக்க) from above, dictated (அதிகார ஆணையிடு)

by some good GENIUS (மேதை) .

ஒவ்வொரு மனிதனுக்கும் தெரியும், எந்த

நேரத்திலும், இந்த வணிகத்திற்காக தன்னை

முழுமையாக அர்ப்பணித்த ரசவாத வேலைகளில் இது

எவ்வளவு அடிக்கடி பயன்படுகிறது; அதாவது. அவர்

நீண்டகாலமாக தேடிய மற்றும் கண்டுபிடிக்க முடியாத

விஷயங்கள் ஒரு கணத்தில் அவருக்கு

வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளன, மேலும் அது மேலிருந்து

ஊடுருவியதால், சில நல்ல மேதைகளால்

That also is of use in dissolving (கரைக்கும்) all

Riddles (புதிர்களை , விடுகதை), or Enigmatical

(புதிரான) Writings: For if you burn (எரிதல்) with a great

desire (ஆசை) of knowing them, that is Prayer; and when

you incline (சாய்) your mind to this or that, variously

(பலவிதமாக) discussing (விவாதித்து) and meditating

(தியானம் செய்) many things, this is CO- OPERATION

(கூட்டுறவு); that your Prayer may not be idle (பயனற்ற) ,

or tempting (கவர்ச்சியூட்டுகிற) GOD; yet this your

endeavor (பெரு முயற்சி) is in vain (வணான),

ீ until you

find the SOLUTION (தீர்வு).

(1) எல்லா புதிர்களையும் அல்லது புதிரான

எழுத்துக்களையும் கரைப்பதில் இதுவும்
பயனுள்ளது, ஏனென்றால் நீங்கள் ஜெபம் என்று
தெரிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டும் என்ற மிகுந்த
விருப்பத்துடன் நீங்கள் எரிந்தால், உங்கள்
மனதை இந்த விஷயத்தில் நீங்கள் சாய்த்துக்
கொள்ளும்போது அல்லது பல

(2) For it concerns me to commend these

meditations of mortality to posterity,
leaving them behind me, not only that
 honour may be given to the divine
majesty ,

செல்கிறேன், தெய்வக
ீ மாட்சிமைக்கு
மரியாதை கொடுப்பதற்காக மட்டுமல்ல,
இயற்க்கை என்னும் பரப்பிரம்மத்தை
எல்லா வழியிலும் அனைவரும்
உணர்ந்து பணிந்து பிறப்பு இறப்பு
இல்லா நர்கதியை அடைய வேண்டும்
என்பதற்காகவே.
