Marion in 2020 and this year the Marion Fair will include
some old favorites but also some new attractions.
Marion Fair Board President Daryl Bode said last year
the board opted to try something different in the form of

Cadillac Rotary pavilion
CADILLAC — Music lovers in Cadil-
lac are spoiled when it comes to the
number of free concerts available to
them all summer long at the Rotary
Performing Arts Pavilion.
World-class acts and regional favor-
ites are scheduled to perform every
Thursday from the end of June to the
end of August as part of the UpBeat
Cadillac series, which highlights blues,
jazz, R&B and rock ‘n roll musicians.
Organizer Tim Scully said they are
able to bring these acts to Northern
Michigan through various partner-
ships with sponsors and donations
from the public.
Although raising the money to bring
in the artists has been a perennial chal-
lenge (this year is no exception), Scully
said they’re going ahead with the se-
ries anyway; this year will be the 25th
season.
The lineup for this year’s UpBeat
Cadillac features some familiar faces,
such as experienced bluesmen, the
Paul Nelson Band, as well as some new-
