Allowing students to work in pairs help students learn how to collaborate and solve problems together.

Having students try some problems at home helps ensure that individual students understand and can
complete assignments aligned with the PBO. Circulating, monitoring, and providing feedback during the
lesson helps ensure students are mastering the PBO.
