I. Business Model Canvas Definition

The Business Model Canvas is a strategic management and lean startup template for
developing new or documenting existing business models. It is a visual chart with elements
describing a firm's or product's value proposition, infrastructure, customers, and finances. It
assists firms in aligning their activities by illustrating potential trade-offs.

II. Function of Business Model Canvas

The Functions of Business Model Canvas are describes how an organisation creates,
delivers, and captures value, ​to helps entrepreneurs to keep focus on key building blocks to

save time and succeed, track the progress in various key elements of the business, narrow
down the thought process and gives way to hit the goal in short time.
Its also useful for executives to discover new business models, revise them to respond to
changing conditions, and manage portfolios of distinct businesses within a large enterprise,
increase the understanding of how a business operates, and encourages discussion, creativity
and analysis and how those component of a business can be used to increase the strength of
your business model.

Business Model Canvas focuses on four areas :

1. Infrastructure

It includes key activities, key resources, and key partners.

2. Offering

It includes value proposition.

3. Customer

It includes Customers segment, channels , and customer relationships.

4. Finance

It includes cost structure and revenues streams.

I. Blibli.com Definition

Blibli.com is one of the E-commerce in Indonesia with the concept of online shopping
mall style. With this concept, Blibli,com expect the Indonesian people who are accustomed to
shopping at the mall can find items they are looking for easily and enjoyable wherever and
whenever. Blibli.com, which is owned by PT Global Digital Niaga, a subsidiary of Djarum
Group. The ownership of Blibli.com is also shared with BCA, one of the largest banks in
Indonesia. Given its strong support, Blibli.com looks to be a serious challenger for other
e-commerce sites like Plasa.com, Tokopedia.com and Bukalapak.com.

Blibli has a gorgeous user interface that makes the online shopping experience more
enjoyable. There are some well-known merchants selling their wares on BliBli already, such
as Harley-Davidson, Philips, and Dell Stores

II. The History

Blibli.com launched on July 25, 2011 by ​PT.Global Digital Commerce (GDN) is a


subsidiary of ​PT. Global Digital Prima (GDP) of Martin Hartono owner’s son of ​Djarum
Group​, Budi Hartono. ​PT. Global Digital Prima (GDP) is part of the company's largest
cigarette producer in Indonesia. Djarum Group is also a shareholder of some of the leading
online businesses such as e-commerce site Kaskus, as well as several local sites kinds
lintasberita.com, krazymarket.com, dailysocial.net, and online business incubator company
called Red and White Inc. The existence Blibli.com with an investment of $ 10 million a sign
of the seriousness and the more eksisnya Djarum Group in the online business.
