Accordingly EN1808 (par.8.3.8) the maximum inclination of a platform (with two ore more hoists) with
the horizontal must be restricted to 14° by means of an automatic device. This can be done by an
electrical device. When triggered, the device shall:
on lifting, stop the upper hoist’s motor
on lowering, stop the lower hoist’s motor
One anti-tilting device can be used for two hoist but it has a fixed angle of inclination.
If you want to set your platform inclination angle less than 14° you have to use a Double anti-tilt
device.
Using a Single (1) Anti-Tilting device.
With a single anti-tilting device the angle of the platform will be restricted in both directions to 14°. This is a
fixed angle setting.
The anti-tilting device has 3 wire-leads ( I , Common , II ).
Wire I is connected to the control circuit “UP-direction” of the LEFT hoist and “DOWN-direction of the
RIGHT hoist.
Wire II is connected to the control circuit “DOWN-direction” of the LEFT hoist and “UP-direction of the
RIGHT hoist.
The Common wire (C) is connected to the Main lead of the control circuit.
a) Right hoist is running faster when ascending(lifting) or Left hoist goes

faster when descending(lowering)
Wire II will be interrupted which will automatically will cut-off the power to
the Left hoist when lowering or cut-off the power to the Right hoist when
lifting
a) Left hoist is running faster when ascending(lifting) or Right hoist goes

faster when descending(lowering)
Wire I will be interrupted which will automatically will cut-off the power
to the Right hoist when lowering or cut-off the power to the Leftt
hoist when lifting
Fixing the anti-tilt device into the Central Control Box.
This device is tightened onto the CCB-panel with a screw in the centre of the round unit. By loosen the screw
you can turn the device around it axis to set it level. When the device is set level the inclination of the platform
in both direction will be the same (fixed angle of 14°).
If you want to have a smaller angle to cut off the hoist’s movement you can use TWO device put in serie (see
further)

Using a DOUBLE (2) Anti-Tilting device.
The same applies as for a Single Anti-tilt device but now you can set the inclination angle to the desired angle
that you want. The inclination angle can be set by turning each device individually around its centre. The
common leads of both devices have to be connected with eachother. You will use only the wire I from MS1
and wire II from MS2.
Turning MS1 anti clock-wise will increase the inclination angle.

Turning MS1 clock-wise will decrease the inclination angle.
Turning MS2 anti clock-wise will decrease the inclination angle.
Turning MS2 clock-wise will increase the inclination angle.
Wire I is connected to the control circuit “UP-direction” of the LEFT hoist and “DOWN-direction of the
RIGHT hoist.
Wire II is connected to the control circuit “DOWN-direction” of the LEFT hoist and “UP-direction of the
RIGHT hoist.
General Remark:
• Always be sure that the anti-tilting device centerline is positioned perpendicular to the platform
floor.
• Do not change the position of the central control box on the platform.
Moving the control box from the front side handrails to rear the side will change the sequence of
the selector operating switch for the left/right hoist.
