CASE STUDY ANSWERS

Question 1

• From the following case and an examination done we can identify some points which
indicates the reason preventing the training:
a) The Muslim culture which required of multiple daily prayers which increases the
intervals and consumes time for the cession to be completed.
b) This gap actually breaks the continuation of the cession which leads to the
ineffective practical knowledge.
c) The prioritization of cultural practices over the training of “cost and budget
control”
d) A bogus approach to the training. As they showed attention towards the cession
but when it came to the practical side it felt as though no training was taken
place.
e) They had a sense of pride in themselves.

Question 2

• Basically in situations where things are going out of one’s control its obvious to loose
the cool and end up in reciprocal malevolence but here creativity comes in when the
trainers realize the importance of team work and understanding and have a
conversation regarding the “cultural differences that they encounter, the attendees
were all men and that they are proud people in themselves, they give importance to
religious rituals over any training and money” which helped them to propose questions
to themselves and find solutions in the direction and come up with solutions like:
a) A change of role i.e. consultant will continue the training alone and Fanny would
assist the audience
b) Fanny would only ask questions
c) Everything taught was out to practice immediately
Question 3

• From the case study it is evident that it was only Fanny’s conscious which made her
think that attendees were hesitant in her presence to open up as she being a young
European woman but then later it is visible that they behaved the same way even when
they switched the roles but a new initiative put forward to turn the training immediately
into practice did work and finally led to a successful training.

• As of now I haven’t seen any similar situation near me.
