MILETTE – the toe-height measuring instrument

A toe-height measuring instrument for the area ”taking the measure”, which is also useful as a controlling instrument in your
workshop and for the fast, mobile and exact use in clinics and homes.

E 14

The measuring of the toe-height can be made precisely

at the medical treatment level through the lower horizontal
flattened measuring side and the upper curved
measuring side.

Tuning fork according to Rydel-Seiffer The neurological tuning fork with a damper and foot accord-
ing to Rydel-Seiffer is a proven examination instrument
for making diagnosis of polyneuropathy (a disease of the
nervous system), which manifests itself in a disparagement
of being sensitive to vibration. The symptoms can be found
in the following cases:

● metabolism disturbances like diabetes

● toxic disturbance of the nerves, for example,

because of alcoholism
● bacterial neuritis

E 15

To judge the sensitiveness to vibration one needs to knock

the tuning fork against the ball of the thumb. By doing that
the prongs vibrate.
The plastic foot of the tuning fork is now ready to be placed
at the parts of the body which are about to be examined.

When the fork is ending to sound the double-appearing

triangles are moving on top of one another again.
The point of the intersection of the two triangles on one
side is moving up slowly. Now the patient has to tell the
time when he or she does not feel the vibration any longer.
At this moment you read the strength of the vibration
Art.No. 8395.00 from the scale.

Luminous mirror
Flexible luminous mirror for the recognition and analysis
of pressure points and lining damages in the forepart of
the foot.

When you are finished with your made-to-measure footwear,

it is “dense”. You are not able to have a look at the pressure
points, the abrading bedding edges, the mis-curving caps,
damages in the lining, or whether installed parts do not fit,
etc., especially in the forepart of the foot.

Up to now you had the conventional method of scanning it

with your hands – not a really pleasant job when you have
shoes wet from sweat.

Here is where the Minke-luminous-mirror helps you –

it gives you an overall view and clarity. In other words:
it is an essential help in your workshop.

Made-to-measure case Contents of the case

The pro-workshop for the journey

Home visits are an essential part of the orthopedic

craftsmanship by now. The measuring and adaptation of
orthopedic aids in particular takes often place at the
patients’ home. This is why it is especially important to
have a proper supply outside of your workshop as well.
Because of the open and practical inner partitioning of
our made-to measure cases, all the instruments, tools,
and materials are always ready to hand.
