PEI 501-200: English as a Foreign Language Teaching Methodology at the Elementary School Level
NRC: 5695
PROFESSOR: CARMEN GLORIA DUCAUD

Class Methodology:
This module is group-workshop-based, with some theoretical input sessions included, so that
students can reflect and comment on the issues to be put into practice when creating lesson
plans and designing or adapting instructional materials for students at the elementary school
level. Students will be also helped to understand the way in which children learn and should be
assessed in an EFL context, making connections with their own practicum experiences and
contexts.
The syllabus of the course is outlined, but there is a certain amount of flexibility built in to fine-
tune the course to the actual situation of the participants as far as possible.
