GOALS OF THE COURSE: To take a look at

- the scientific approach to research, its assumptions, goals and attributes,
- such basic elements of research as research problems, variables, relation and hypothesis,
- different purposes and assumptions of qualitative and quantitative paradigms of
research,
- experiments, quasi-experiments, and action research,
- style sheet and presentation

 
Students are expected to:
- Read the textbooks and assigned supplemental materials, and come to class each session
prepared to discuss the selected topic(s).
- Attend class sessions regularly and punctually.
- Participate actively in group problem solving/work sessions.
- Complete and present assignments on time.
