I see Pakistani movies from both negative and positive perspective. According to my point of
view both good and bad movies are made in loolywood. According to my point of view in
nineties quality of Pakistani movies rose loolywood started making good quality movies but with
the passage of time quality become low and our media start to make movies in which vulgarity
on peak.
Positive Perspective
Those movies in Pakistan which make on some issue are good and I think these types of movies
should made in loolywood. Those movies which show some history and show less vulgarity also
good and fruitful.
Let suppose Anarkali was the best Pakistani movie in 1958. This movie is a timeless classic, and
arguably the most famous film ever produced in Pakistan. It tells the story of a slave girl,
Anarkali, falling hopelessly in love with Prince Salim, who ascends to the throne of the Mughal
Empire with the regal moniker Jahangir. Theirs is a love story that has been retold countless
times in countless mediums. As love stories not give us a good lesson but Anarkali was best
movie because of its cast and the main reason is that it was not cheap scripted love story it was
real based love story.
The other good movie is Umrao Jan. Umrao Jaan is a real heartbreaker. It follows the life of a
young girl with the soul of a poet who is forced into the cruel world of prostitution. The movie
exposes the harsh reality of sexual exploitation, an exploration made all the more painful by its
contrast with Umrao Jaan’s fragile soul and her ardent desire for true love.
The other best movie is Maula Jutt. The success and significance of Maula Jutt is comparable
with that of The Godfather (1972). The story revolves around a Punjabi community, exposing its
flaws, eccentricities and glorious traits all at the same time. The central character, known as
Maula Jutt, has captivated the hearts and minds of audiences for the past 40 years. This movie
was great with amazing story, culture and actors this types of movies also should be made in
loolywood.
The best movie ever was Jinnah. A dense biopic of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the so-called Father
of the Nation, Jinnah recounts the events leading up to the creation of Pakistan in 1947. With
inspiring cinematography and intense dialogue, the film does an excellent job of conveying the
reality of the turmoil during the Partition of India and Pakistan. This was best work of loolywood
as it was made on our hero.
A huge blockbuster hit, Khuda Kay Liye tackles the subject of terrorism and its effects on
Pakistanis around the world. An intriguing plot and multi-dimensional characters take the viewer
inside fundamentalism and the lives of those who oppose it. It is a holistic and unique
representation of how terrorism has divided society and infiltrated all aspects of life. It was issue
based movie and best work.
The other best movie was made on the life of a cricketer. Main Hoon Shahid Afridi is a must-
watch for anyone who has any interest in cricket. It magnificently portrays the dream of
thousands of young boys in Pakistan, of all classes, who aspire to pursue a career in cricket, in
the process managing to explain the complex emotions Pakistanis associate with cricket and why
cricket legends such as Shahid Afridi are the nation’s go-to role models. It was also a best move
because of strong story, cast and story.
The other best movies are waar, Shah, Manto and Moor. These movies are best. War is a fast-
paced thriller that emulates a Hollywood blockbuster full of guns, action sequences and a central
theme of terrorism. If you are interested in experiencing a thriller from the perspective of a
Pakistani filmmaker, and exploring terrorist and counter-terrorist units through a Pakistani lens,
this movie should not be missed. Shah is a biopic that follows the legendary boxer Syed Hussain
Shah, who received a bronze medal at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul. The film portrays
the reality of Pakistani slums such as Liyari, and the momentous struggle required to break out of
poverty, even if you possess immense talent. It feature interviews with Shah, and adds in thrilling
Moor is an aesthetic masterpiece. There are so many unexplored regions and subcultures in
Pakistan, and the focus of this film is the Pakistani desert. It is about the country’s railways and
the people who work on them, and touches on subjects such as exploitation and corruption.
Manto, a biopic about Sadat Hasan Manto, one of Pakistan’s most prolific writers, is a good
example of why Pakistani films were once highly regarded around the world. With a script filled
with the philosophical truths of life, this movie uses Manto’s often controversial short stories to
expose the hidden and dark realities at play in the newly emerging state of Pakistan.
These Pakistani movies are best and because of their production, story, amazing cast, direction I
see Pakistani media after few years will become strong. Good movies also should depicts the
culture of our society. The other best movie that was unfortunately banned was Malik it was
bade on our bad and cruel Politicians. These types of movies if made and allowed to show to
every personality of society so definitely our society can become strong. These are my positive
point of views about Pakistani films.
Negative Perspective
The negative thing about Pakistani media is too much vulgarity, same type of story repeated in
almost every film, Fake romantic movies and scenes, few heroes and heroines repeated in films
etc. These things in Pakistani films are not good and I don’t like.
As we see in some Pakistani movies now started item songs it is the worst thing in Pakistani
movies and give bad message and impact to other countries and cultures about our society. If
Indians make movie on our culture they show respected women wear hijab but unfortunately
Pakistani film makers ignore this most important fact and start making movies with too much
vulgarity. Like in Wrong number, Na Maloom Afraad, Karachi say Lahore cheap and vulgar
item songs were made.
Other negative aspect is too much romance and fantasy in movies. Unfortunately most of the
movies stories revolve around only young boy or girl. These kinds of stories are not historic, not
issue base and not give any good message to audience. These kinds of movies can damage our
society and especially young generations. In many movies educational institutions shows as a
love meeting places like boy or girl first meet at college and university and start like each other.
These type of stories should be not allowed because it can easily destroy young generation. Like
wrong number, Maan Jao Naa, Punjab NHI Jaoungi, Janaan, BinRooye fake romance was
shown.
Other negative aspect is uneducated people make movies. Pakistani film industry needs young
and educated people to make an international presence. Lollywood needs latest technology
but with that it also needs skilful labour to operate the advanced equipment. Old ways of film
making are also bad aspects of films so Lollywood needs latest technology but with that it
also needs skilful labour to operate the advanced equipment.
Other negative aspect is same cast is repeated in films. Film directors should stop playing it
safe by only casting actors with a record of a few hit films. New talent must be allowed to
cast in movies. Saima, Meera, Sana, Resham, Shaan, Saud, Nirma and Babar Ali, should no
longer play lead roles in Pakistani films. No doubt they were very talented actors but now our
film industry needs new faces.
These are the negative aspects of Pakistani Films. These must be avoid to make loolywood
strong. Pakistani films have both positive and negative features and I also see them from both
perspective.
