Advancement of Science and Technology

Medical Field

Scientific and technological breakthroughs are transforming the future of medicine and

health, but they inevitably carry risks and have societal implications that need to be addressed

proactively.

In the history of medicine, we have witnessed advances that have

rewritten the script for preventing and treating disease. Consider the

reduction in common infectious diseases owing to public health measures,

vaccines, and antibiotics, or the decline in cardiovascular disease morbidity

and mortality due to advances in prevention and therapy. Today, we are

witnessing an even more accelerated trajectory with the convergence of

basic science, data science, and technology. We have seen substantial

progress in many fields—biomedicine, biotechnology, engineering,

nanotechnology, digital technology, robotics, artificial intelligence (AI)—all

with the potential for improving health.

As technology continues to drive the pace of progress in biomedical research and

healthcare, the traditional line between engineering and medical science grows ever thinner.

And as medical machines and the computers that power them become smaller, faster, and

smarter, the medical device industry is making medical practice easier for doctors, more

effective for patients, and cheaper for the entire healthcare system.

STEM Field

A student’s ability to engage in scientific and technical reasoning through relevant experience

results in better understanding of science and engineering, increased mastery of sophisticated subject

matter, a better ability to explain the world, and increased interest in STEM fields. These are key

outcomes for successful engagement in civic, college, or career contexts.

Advancement in robotics and technology - From science fiction to reality

The advancement in robotics and technology has turned dreams into reality, and what

was once thought of as pure science fiction, is slowly becoming accessible.

Drones, intelligent cars, assembly line robots, are all part of our daily lives.

According to Renowned Australian Legal Academic Ron McCallum, technology has

described as one that drastically changed the lives for those with visual disabilities.

The future is not written yet and who knows whether robots are dangerous or not. What is for sure is

that humans, being the curious beings, will develop new advanced generations of robots. Robots and

other high-performance inventions have always been of a vast interest for humanity. A great number of

scientists have spent the whole life in their laboratories with one aim “ to work out innovative schemes,
develop them and create some highest qualitative ranking robot”. This engrossing process has reached

its peak with the technical push that took place due to the endeavors of a number of brilliant and clear

intellects of scientists all over the world. The most striking fantasies in this sphere are brought

successfully into reality and a great number of robots are in service of people in order to make the

process of work or manufacturing automatic. It happens so that people and robots go together in this

life side by side, in some spheres of life they are even interchangeable and who knows into what this

opposition “Human and Robots” will translate. The future of robots is mere speculation, but judging

from developments in recent years, the continued advancements in technology are a foregone

conclusion. Robots will likely continue to impact various aspects of our lives, and scientists and

philosophers continue to debate the possibilities for the human race. As artificial intelligence continues

to develop, there may be a point in which robots become superior to mankind. No matter the future

holds, robots will have a place in it.
