Trim and collect a small twig

of any dicot plant and shave

off the bark an inch from
base

Insert the twig into the small

hole at the center of the
wooden stool.

Attach the end of the twig to

the rubber tubing which is
connected to the burette. The
burette should be supported
by a clamp and Iron stand.

Fill up the burette and rubber

tubing with water up until its
highest calibration.

Enclose the twig with the bell

jar.

Seal all holes and spaces with

masking tape.

Leave the setup under direct

sunlight for 2 hours and
observe the level of the water
inside the burette.
