Preliminary plans are well underway for the 41st Annual Stephen C. Smith Memorial Regatta benefiting the
American Cancer Society. The regatta will be held Friday, April 25 th through Sunday, April 27th, 2014, at Shell
Point Beach. Featured at the event will be sailboat and windsurfer races, a Parrothead competition, beach
activities for non-racers, dinner, evening entertainment, and a closing auction. The proceeds from this event will
help continue the fight against cancer and provide services to those stricken with cancer in the Big Bend region
of Florida.

I hope this letter will spark your interest in participating in this successful and exciting event as a sponsor. We
would like to find a sponsorship level that suits you or your company. For example, as the Commodore level
sponsor ($2,000) you would be entitled to the following benefits:
 Recognition on all invitations, printed publicity material, and t-shirts;
 Recognition on SCSMR website and Facebook page;
 Corporate logo on back of T-shirt;
 Inside front cover full page advertisement in the regatta program;
 Sponsor banner at event site to be provided by the sponsor;
 Multiple on-stage promotions by master of ceremonies.

and a list of the weekend's activities for your reference.

Every spring for the last 40 years, hundreds of spectators and racers have come from throughout the region to
take part in this event held in memory of a young sailor who died of a rare form of leukemia, and other sailors,
friends, and family who have succumbed to this dreaded disease. Thanks to our loyal sponsors, the 2013
Regatta raised $16,000. Approximately one half million dollars has been donated by the Regatta over the years
to support the programs of the Leon County and Wakulla County Units of the American Cancer Society.
