Sub: - Railway doubling works between Chigicherla (incl.) - Zangalapalle (incl.) B.G. Double line in the
Dharmavaram-Gooty section of Guntakal division in South Central Railway. – Reckoning the distance
between OHE structures and Signal post: - Regarding

In connection with above subject, new Signal S4 and S37 at Chigicherla station and Zangalapalle station
respectively are deviation from ACTM Para, 18.11 of Appendix –I Vol.-II Part-II & Signal Engineering Manual
Para 22.3.1, sub-Para. The details of same are as follows:

for UP loop line and 40.5 meters for IOL in DN
main line.
To modify existing IOL of DN main Line into
UIOL span was considered as 58.5m.Thus,
distance of 30m in front of the signal S37
location approved in Signalling Plan No.
IPU.2492/Alt.1 from the respective OHE Masts
2 ZPL S37 198/34 198/36 13m 11m could not be maintained as front mast of signal
is between two obligatory structures of OHE. In
addition to this culvert no. 88 is also between
said obligatory structures. Thus implantation of
mast 198/36 is 6.21 meters to ensure sight of
said signal.

PCEE is empowered to provide dispensation for reduction in the distance of placing Mast in front of signal from
30m to 10m on straight track. In this regard it is requested kindly provide dispensation for same please.
