    SYNTHESIS PAPER GUIDELINES

    Write a paper (maximum of 2 pages) synthesizing what you have learned from the beginning of the
    semester about mathematics and its role in understanding reality and the world we live in. Your
    synthesis paper must have a central thesis that you need to expound.
    Your exposition MUST be based on your Math10 experience. This includes our classroom
    discussions, viewing of short videos, interaction with your classmates, and engagements with the
    different requirements of the course (assignment, seatwork, boardwork, exams).

    - 1.5 space between lines, no extra space between paragraphs

    Your work will be graded based on the following criteria:

    Quality and Depth of Exposition — 6 pts


    Correct interpretation/understanding of ideas — 6 pts
    Additional thoughts to the core idea(s) — 4 pts
    Coherence and Organization of ideas — 2 pts
    Grammar — 2 pts
    Total 20 pts
