FOOD ORDERING APPLICATION

Problem: -

At the present time, we see most of the students go to the canteen to eat their lunch and during the
break the canteen gets crowded a lot with so many students ordering food at the same time. Because of
this, students who come 10 mins late to the canteen don’t order food because they won’t get the food
on time and will get late for the lectures. A lot of students just bunk the lecture after the break to eat
food. Some students, to avoid standing in the queue, go outside college and eat unhygienic street food
which may cause food poisoning or stomach infections.

Most of these students are OHU students who skip their breakfast, because they don’t have time, to
come to college.

In order to diminish this problem faced by many students, we have come up with an idea for an
application that will minimize these problems.

Solution: -

We have various means in our college so we can skip the work load like Vprint, Vrefer, Vlive which work
in the betterment of student.

Our idea is to provide some means so that student can get the food in time and they won’t have to
stand in line and bunk the lecture or have to go outside to eat unhygienic food.

So, we have decided to design an application so that people can order their food whilst sitting in the
classroom.

App will consist of the today’s menu, so that the student can see what kind of food he/she wants to eat
and can order the same. We will we connect our database of college so student can login and can have
the food on their name. After placing the order, they will be redirected to the payment option. The
payment option can be done by Paytm, Google Pay, PhonePe and will be secured to prevent any cases of
fraud or attacks. Ss soon as they pay, they will be getting an e-bill which will act as a coupon that they
have to show to the canteen to get the food.

Other side of the application will be given to the canteen so that they could know who has ordered and
the canteen can start preparing food before the break starts. This will save some time for standing in the
queue for payment as well as time required to prepare the food. So as soon as student arrives to get the
food, they can serve the food.

This will be beneficial for the canteen as well as for the student as the canteen won’t have to take the
load and pressure of many students at a single time.
