Salicylates are natural chemicals found in aspirin, baby
teething gel, many fruits, vegetables, herbs, nuts, teas,
coffee, wine, herbal medicines & spices.
Artificial and natural salicylates are also present in skin
creams & perfumes.
SALICYLATE SENSITIVITY
SIGNS & SYMPTOMS
• skin rashes, eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, hives, itchy skin
• headaches and/or migraines • irritable bowel symptoms
(wind, diarrhoea, constipation, stomach bloating )
• allergy symptoms (stuffy or runny nose, nasal polyps,
frequent throat clearing, hay fever)

AMINES &
HISTAMINES
Amines are chemicals caused by fermentation
and protein breakdown. According to research
from the RPA Hospital Allergy Unit in Sydney,
36% of eczema sufferers experience a worsening
of eczema symptoms from amine-rich foods.
